Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) kicked off yesterday by bringing together the planet’s most innovative developers and Apple experts to San Jose and live-streaming to billions of people around the globe - and we have a little secret. At today’s “Accessibility Get-Together” from 4:00-5:30 PM PST, experts will explore how apps can be accessible and inclusive, and they’re featuring Cognixion’s own Speakprose Pro+!
Apple’s team will use our latest upgrades to Speakprose Pro+ with eye-tracking and facial recognition as an example of apps that have “taken care to design excellent experiences for VoiceOver and Switch Control users.” We make it a rule not to ever feel overconfident as a Start-Up, but this news came as a nice surprise following our new product release last week.
For those of you unfamiliar with WWDC, Phil Schiller, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing, explains “WWDC is Apple’s biggest event of the year. It brings thousands of the most creative and dedicated developers from around the world together with over a thousand Apple engineers to learn about our latest platform innovations and to connect as a community. Our developers are incredibly passionate about creating the next generation of mind-blowing experiences for the world through apps. We can’t wait to get together with them and share what’s next.”

We’re excited to share this news with you after many months of hard work and to say thank you to those of you who continue to help us co-design. We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without your help and insights. It’s our mission to create products that accelerate and enrich human communication and connection, and we’re happy that Apple thinks so too.
If you haven’t tried our new features on the Speakprose Pro+ app, we now feature eye-tracking and facial recognition calibration that allows users to move the cursor with their eyes or facial movements. The first 30-days are on us and users pay only $39.99 per month after the trial period is over.
These new features allow users a hands-free device (latest iPad and iPhone) that can be used both in the public and private domain to better connect with the rest of the world. We believe the world would be a better place if more people could openly speak their truth. Who knows? Maybe there are millions of Stephen Hawking’s out there right now, just waiting for access to the right technology. We do what we do for many reasons - but giving a voice to those who don’t have one, is right at the top.
