Your role: Product Manager – Apps & Interactive Experiences

You will be a driving and visionary force creating amazing software experiences on the Cognixion platform alongside remarkable team mates as well as co-designing with People with Disabilities as well as healthcare professionals. Scope of Responsibilities

  • Identify unmet customer needs and establish visions for software product(s), features, 3rd party integrations and content, that will address their needs in a delightfully effective way.

  • Develop software product vision into concrete strategy and requirements based on internal and external stakeholder input and market research.

  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure strategic execution, taking ownership for effective internal communication as well as marketing, documentation, and training.

  • Plan and monitor resourcing, staff allocations and market execution including R&D and development and production costs, demand, pricing, and promotion, over the product(s) lifecycle.

  • Identifying and rapidly unblocking skill or capacity gaps across teams or other blockers that negatively affect timelines and costs to produce, launch and support software products.

  • Monitor personal workload and frequently assign operational requirements to other individuals and groups with clear guidelines and communication.

  • Plan and coordinate software product launches, continued promotion, development, and maintenance, as well as end of sale and transitioning products and the customer experience gracefully.

  • Present product information to internal and external individuals and groups in a variety of public and private contexts.

  • Develop, encourage, and maintain market and key relationships to assure relevant product development feedback, product input, validation, and market dynamics necessary for segmentation adoption and product positioning.

  • Overall manages design, development, and outcomes for apps and other software products with accountability to the P&L as well as their individual business cases and projections.

  • Manage the regulatory approval process and certifications for software products, including but not limited to FDA, CMS, DMEPOS, PDAC, CE, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 60601-1, and IEC 62304.

  • Coordinating user-centered design activities with our user advisory council, formal research studies, customer insights and other cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Manage the process of medical insurance and provider network contracting.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in product management or an equivalent discipline.

  • MS Office 365: Powerpoint, Word, Excel, Sharepoint, Teams Email: Outlook Other: Asana, Zoom, Social media, CRM tools like Hubspot or Salesforce, Beautiful.ai, data visualization, product management and analysis tools, ability to read and understand financial reporting, legal agreements, statements of work, and QMS systems.

  • Technical acumen to acquire domain-specific hardware and software skills and deeply understand our technology and be accurate in explaining it to both technical and non-technical people.

  • Excellent communication skills are essential both in written and spoken format and in public speaking settings.

  • Strong internal drive and motivation to challenge status quo.

  • Works independently with minimal guidance.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Strong sense for product improvements, visionary thinking, and critical details.

  • Thorough understanding of world-class product experiences.

  • Has in-depth knowledge of our unique market segments, and actively works to grow their understanding of our users’ need and experiences to inform planning.

  • Vigilant about follow through and can demonstrate that attending to even small details can make or break a product’s success in the eyes of the customer.

  • Obsessive about creating and quantifying the economic value of positive customer experiences derived from products under management.

  • Position is based in Santa Barbara, California.

  • Flexibility to work variable hours depending on current and forecasted operational needs.

  • MUST be legally eligible to work in USA.

  • Periodic international travel will be required – especially to Canada or overseas suppliers.
